What I Watched in 2018

In 2017 for the first time I kept a list of everything I watched and posted it on my blog at the end of the year. I'd like to start doing that every year, so here's the second annual list of What I Watched. In 2017 I hit 275 individual movies and 11 seasons of television, while this year I raised that up to 293 movies and 15 seasons of television. Though actually it was far more than that; not only did I generally do a terrible job of tracking what I watched over the last several months of the year (meaning I'm sure there are things that I forgot to add to the list), but I was also a screener for AFI Fest for the first time, and I didn't list any of the 75 submission films I watched for that gig (because they were mostly terrible and not what many people would consider real movies).

I didn't count anything that I didn't watch in its entirety, so no movies that I fell asleep in at festivals. (Tremendous apologies to Her Smell and Transit, the annual victims of my horrendous sleep schedule during TIFF. Same with We the Animals at Sundance. I loved what I saw of all of you and I hope to do you justice in 2019!) I also didn't count any TV seasons that I haven't completed yet, such as the current season of The Good Place

So here's the complete list of everything I watched. Movies are in alphabetical order first, TV seasons in alphabetical order at the end. Everything followed by an asterisk is something I'd seen at least once prior to 2018, or, in the case of movies from 2018, the asterisk means I watched them twice this year.

Goals for 2019: Finally hit 300 movies, and watch a hell of a lot more TV. There are just too many great shows out there I've been neglecting.
